Mom, you're SWEET!

Mom, you're SWEET!

Where my Mommas at?!!! Whoop whoop!!!

There isn't a job out there, more difficult, more exhausting or more beautiful and rewarding then being a mom! It isn't always easy, but it's the best job!

We're a few days away from Mother's day and since I'm a mom too, I'm really late on this post because it has been HECTIC in this neck of the woods!! However, it was too cute NOT to post!!! Most of my readers and Instagram community are moms, so basically, you have to show your kids or your hubby this post if you want this done!! If you're hosting a Mother's Day brunch this is perfect too or even to do something special for your own mom!

This isn't the typical theme for Mother's Day but I was inspired and knew I had to run with it. Everyone LOVES ice cream right? It's delicious and anything Ice cream related usually involves beautiful colors...and I'm all over that!

So, if you've been following, you know my latest obsession is foil letter balloons. I've been thinking of ways to paint, glitter, and customize these popular cuties. So of course when I came up with this theme, I knew a quick and easy way to dress up a mothers day celebration would be painting these balloons ice cream inspired. It's very easy...Some acrylic paint, paint brushes and your imagination. I used a smaller brush for the waffle cone lines and the sprinkles are little strokes.

Forgot wrapping paper for that blouse you need to wrap? Don't worry!! Grab some ribbon, white gift boxes, some of that left over paint from the balloons and paint those sprinkles right on the box!

This next little project is the one I saw and inspired me to do this theme. You'll need:

Flowers of your choice

Scissors

Waffle Cones

Floral Foam

Wax paper

I took the waffle cones and lined them with wax paper. Then cut a small piece of floral foam, soaked in water a bit and arranged the flowers in there. In hindsight, I wish I would've made a little tag that said "Mom, you're sweet!"

For the tablescape, I used confetti I mixed to match and laid it on the table kind of like a runner. I bought glass vases from the DOLLAR STORE (Whoop Whoop!) and added a strip of Vinyl on the bottom for some color. To stick the waffle cones to the vase, I added hot glue to the bottom of the waffle cone and held it in place until it dried. Using silk Peonies, I inserted them in each vase and lined them up on the table in different heights.

SIDE IDEA: A waffle and ice cream bar setting with delicious toppings would be amazing, just saying!

If you're not throwing a shindig, then treat that special girl to a SWEET breakfast in bed!

This was a pretty quick setup but I think the effect is just dreamy! HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY Mommas!! xoxo
