I've always loved candy corn. Let me rephrase that, I've always loved the LOOK of candy corn!! The colors are fun and bright and a perfect color scheme for a fun Halloween party. As I was planning this little set up, I came across the company Cakest in a mom group I'm part of. When I saw the concept of what they offered, I couldn't believe how perfect it was for moms! You can select from a range of different DIY cake kits that fit your needs, and when I found the monster kit, I knew it was perfect for my Candy corn inspired bash!

When I received it in the mail, I was extremely impressed with how complete the DIY cake kit was. It literally brought everything I needed to make the cake from beginning to end (Minus perishables and ingredients you would typically have a home anyway). I haven't baked in a while so my baking pans are non existent right now. The kit even brought disposable cake pans!

I baked the cake first and let cool for a few hours. While the cake was cooling, I made the decorations. The instructions were very easy to read and follow. Using the template sheet, I was able to cut out all the pieces easily. After finishing all my pieces, I covered them with saran wrap to keep them sealed for decoration later.

Once I finished making the frosting, I followed the step by step on how to cover the cake with the Orange fondant. Picking the best side as my front, I was ready to now start assembling all my decor.

After the cake had been covered in Fondant, the assembling of the decorations was actually quite fast.
